How it works

  • Divide your students up into teams or have them play individually.
  • With each round, see which option is correct. The team/student with the most points is the winner.
  • Once you get the coke and pepsi slide, show the difference between a fact (left) and an opinion (right). Hand out the attached worksheet for students to fill out and have them share with their peers or the class.
  • In the notes section of each slide, the answer is explained in better detail if you aren't a science geek like me. If your students have questions about why, these should help quiet a bit.

    Excellent questions.
    You can never have too many of these types of quizzes.
    I'd suggest doing it in pairs. Two students sitting close together can share their opinions 'I think it's...' 'Hmmm, I think so too' and then do answer check as a class.
    Also for the smart dogs slide maybe switch the question to the plural form since you're using it in the answer. And maybe for the whale vs students make it 'A whale'
