I have/do you/ does she/he?

It is sort of like go-fish, but with 3 players. The trick is, Player 1 can't talk to Player 3. So Player 2 must speak for Player 3. This gets the kids to practice using he does/she does.

GOAL: Player announces what card they have and asks other players if they also have that card. Players with the most matches wins.
LEARNING POINT: To get students to practice when to use do/does, like/likes
ITEMS: 3 color cards. A deck of 12 food cards for each student (or any small deck of cards with 8-12 options).
ROLES: The color cards designate roles. Blue 1, Blue 2, and Red 1.
RULES: Blue 1 and Red 1 can not talk to each other. Blue 1 can only talk to Blue 2.
Only Blue 2 can talk to Red 1.

GAME:
Students are divided into teams of 3.
Each person gets a card with a color and number: Blue 1, Blue 2, and Red 1.

Each player draws 6 cards from the deck.

Player with Blue 1 starts the game by picking a card from their deck and saying,
“I have ~~.

Blue 1 asks Blue 2: Do you have ~~?
Blue 2 responds: Yes, I do/ No I don`t.

Remember, Blue 1 is not allowed to talk to Red 1 directly.
So…
Blue 1 asks Blue 2: Does she/he (Red1) have ~~.

Blue 2 asks Red 1; Do you have~~?
Red 1 responds to Blue 2: I do/don`t.
Blue 2 tells the answer to Blue 1: He/she doesn't have.....

For each match, or “yes” Blue 1 gets a point. After all 3 are asked, the color cards are rotated to the right. After everyone gets a turn being Blue 1 the game is over and the player with the most points wins.

***You can make your own cards and incorporate relevant vocabulary. I have included a script as well as color cards. Print them out and hand them out to each group.
