Using the letters in HALLOWEEN students try to see how many words they can make - like Hello, Hall, Low, When etc. I have made 15 spaces but there are of course literally dozens and dozens of words that could be made. I have included hints in Japanese (for only 12 words) that could be used to give 3rd year students in Jnr High an idea of words they could make, but feel free to delete them if you think your students don't need them. I think this activity might also be appropriate for High School.
When everyone is finished writing as many words as they can I will call on some students to give me one of their original words not included in the hint section.
