Food Dobble

Using the template KeithMiyazaki posted, here is a dobble game with foods from the New Horizon's ES Picture Dictionary for 5th Grade Unit 6 (What Would You Like?).

(Print, Laminate, and Cut)

Dobble Rules: Each card has exactly 1 match on every other card. An even amount of cards are distributed between all players. To start, flip over 1 card in the middle, and flip over the card on the top of their personal pile. Students match cards by saying the matching food on both the cards, and placing their card on the card on top of the middle pile. The player to get rid of all of their cards first wins!

Note: Make sure to explain that you don't look at all of your cards at once--that you are only looking at one of your cards at a time.

One thing I've found about this game is that it's fun to play, but not for too long, as it is not a turn-based game and some students will be consistently better than others. Still a lot of fun though! :)
