Useful expressions: at a restaurant

A simple roleplaying activity to page 85 of the One World 1 textbook.

Introduction

  • begin the PowerPoint presentation and go through the example

  • have T1 explain the new expressions on page 85 and practise the phrases together for the pronunciation

  • hand out the worksheets and go through the new vocabulary on the slideshow

Survey Section

  • have the students interview their peers using page 85. They are to tally the food items and drinks on their menus

  • figure out which food and drink is the most popular in the class
