Football Board Game Collection

Collection of activities in one PowerPoint to be used in Loilo Noite.

Inspired on UonumaRobert's activity about (association) football.

Digital version so we can help Japan's SDG goals.

Each slide is for a different unit.
Save the image from the desired slide and upload them on Loilo Note then you can add the ball to use as an interactive object.

The rules are the same as the original.

RULES:
- Do janken => WIN => Get the ball => SPEAK based on the boxes as templates (partner reads the bottom text for a small conversation) => MOVE
- At the beginning and after each score, put the ball in the middle and winner brings it to their side.
- Japan goes right, Brazil goes left.
- Pass player to player until you reach the goal.

Do a simple demonstration if necessary.

They can use any tool they want to keep track of the score.

I encourage students to try different sentences from the templates in the images.

EDIT
I have added more slides and added players to make it easier to "pass the ball".

looks good. I think you need to put a few spaces between Japan Goals and Brazil Goals so that there is room for the goals to be recorded.

Agree about wasting paper. I generally pair this type of activity with a writing activity so the other side of the paper is used for something as well. https://www.altopedia.net/activities/1447-soccer-speaking-and-writing-games. That is an example of a soccer-based powerpoint writing game that works well with this as a warm up.

      Thanks for your comment.
I thought of that space for the goals but the students don't need that much space to move the ball.

I saw that activity, that's what sent me down that rabbit hole of making more and more. :D

The problem is time, my JTEs never give me that much time so I try to focus more on the speaking, which in turn helps the pronunciation.

Its good you're given room to do communication activities at least. As for the space I meant under Brazil Goals and above Japan Goals. On the original worksheet that's where the students would put a check every time they scored a goal. If they aren't recording it on the screen you could delete that box and make the play screen look a little neater.

Ah that space, the students just add that on the box to the left, it's not symmetrical but that's okay I think. But thanks for the comments, I'll keep in mind and see if there's more I could to do change/improve it even further. :)
