DETAILED EXPLANATION:

  • There are two worksheets. Make sure one half of the class gets Worksheet A, and the other half of the class gets Worksheet B.
  • Review the vocabulary with the students.
  • Let them interview each other till they have filled in all the blanks. Make sure they interview many students, not just one.
  • Correct the answers.

VARIATIONS:

  • If it is a lower level class, they can just say, How much is it?
  • Higher levels should say, How much is a(n) ...? There is a plural too. How much are Pokemon cards? Also an uncountable, How much is Uno?

TIPS/CAUTIONS:

  • Lots of classes will cheat. It's hard to stop. I would erase some of the item's prices off both the sheets. The students can get the ALT or the HRT to answer for them.
  • It can be a little difficult for ES. But it's easy to cut and paste new items and prices.
