DETAILED EXPLANATION:
- Review the questions and answers.
- Print and cut out cards. Remember, you don't want them to be able to see through the paper so have a design on the back of the paper, use thick paper, or laminate them with something to cover the back.
- Make enough card sets for the number of groups you will have (usually 4~5 students per group)
- In groups, students place the cards face-down, mix them up and take turns to turn over two cards. If they got a matching question and answer card, the student keeps the cards.
VARIATIONS:
- Label the question cards with "Q" and the answer cards with "A". In groups, students place the cards face-down, mix them up and take turns to turn over 1 "Q" card and 1 "A" card. If they match, the student keeps the cards. The student with the most cards collected at the end wins.
- As with all memory games, you can let students have another turn when they get a match.

I used this and had students create sentences with each match. "This is a refrigerator which is used to keep food cold." I turned it into a race and groups had to read their sentences to me. The JTE loved the activity! Thank you for the idea!
