Choose the fable you want to do, then copy 1 set per group.
Cut the story into sentence slips and mix up the pieces. In their groups, students need to read the pieces and put the story into the correct order. Teacher/s check the groups stories when they finish and let them know if it's correct or not.
When all groups have finished, read the story together as a group.
