These are the materials I used to make a display on the World's Ugliest Dog Competition which is held on the last weekend in June every year.
Most information comes from various news articles about the event. There is a short text about the competition itself, and a few short paragraphs about this years winner, Scooter. I included some Japanese to help with student understanding. My students are probably mostly medium level high school.
I also included a selection of photos of past winners, and the heading "Who is the ugliest dog" which I used for a vote. I drew the voting page and wrote some photo captions by hand. There are a lot of photos online of past winners/entrants so you can change as you please. The first two photos in this document are of Scooter, this years winner
I will upload in .docx so it can be easily edited, although please be aware that I use a lot of strange formatting to make it look right for me, so any edits probably will require some work to fit in.
My English Board is in a classroom and it doesn't see a lot of traffic, so I'm not too careful about the details. Please let me know if you notice any issues!
