Summer English Board

Summer English board outlining summer celebrations, idioms and more.

This English covers some casual summer idioms, the difference between English and Japanese names for famous movies/brands, and the following summer celebrations:
- Summer Solstice
- Notting Hill Carnival
- Canada Day
- La Tomatina

Not an expert on Canada Day or La Tomatina, so apologies in advance for any inaccuracies. Likewise, there may be some mistakes in my Japanese, so worth checking with your JTE before you use those descriptions (or feel free to delete them, if you're about that strict zero nihongo teaching style)

Any feedback appreciated, cheers.

Love your board ideas! I'll have to include the summer idioms in mine. Also can confirm the Canada Day one! A parade in the morning, BBQ for lunch and fireworks at night while dressing in red and white all day is pretty much what we do :)

Thank you for including Canada day. I would like to suggest changing one of the photos for one that highlights Indigenous People, as many communities are reimagining Canada Day celebrations in a way to recognize them.
