This is a creative writing activity. Students work in groups, pairs or alone, and add their own dialogue to a pre-existing comic. I always enjoy seeing what they come up with!
Providing an example is useful to help them get their ideas flowing. If you class needs extra help, you can provide a series of prompts for the first panel.
You can also make this a quick matching activity by providing dialogue and having the students match it to the correct comic panel.
