A PowerPoint and "daily schedule" worksheet to practice Past, Present, and Future Tense, intended for 一年生.

A PowerPoint and "daily schedule" worksheet to practice Past, Present, and Future Tense, intended for 一年生.

Materials:
- none

Preparation:
1) - Print the worksheets for all students
2) - Run through the PowerPoint in presentation mode (AND/OR add your own personal information)

Lesson:
- This is a very simple but effective exercise for 一年生 students. It is also possible to do this without the PowerPoint as just a worksheet, but I highly recommend using the PowerPoint as well.
- After the alloted composition time, a good idea might be to have the students walk around and find pairs to present their completed schedule to.
- This is a special activity to me because I noticed something special during the lesson. Despite its simplicity, students were quite interested and proactive while filling out their schedule. It's possible that due to the nature of Japanese society, students here aren't necessarily able to express their personal lives as often as in some other cultures. Activities like this allow for such expression, and I hope to use this discovery to my advantage going forward as well when trying to garner interest in English.
