Christmas Survey

The results and my family feud style PowerPoint quizzes.

Here are the results and activities I made from the Google form survey I made and asked you all to share earlier this month.

There are the raw results and the graphs that Google made in the results page for your use in the link at the bottom. Feel free to use the results in your own activities.

The family feud quiz is to guess the results of the survey. "Do you ~?" questions (1-7) are guess-the-percent-that-said-"YES" questions and the latter ones are guess-the-top-answers questions.

There are various ways you can use this, but I put the students in class and get them to janken to decide the order they will answer. Before class I draw a big line with 0-100% marked at 10% intervals.

For the first style question (question 1-7), show the question and get them to mark their guess (with chalk and their team number or I use laminated team cards with magnet stickers on the back). The closest gets 10 points (which I raise every question or so).

For the second style of question (9-12) students stay in their groups and raise their hands to guess. The percentage shown next to the answer is the number of points that team gets. You can decide how many guesses each team can make but I have mostly done, one guess and out. The questions are a little difficult for some, but it can be a massive time sink if teams are guessing and guessing and not getting the answers.

There are some slides that show some interesting questions and answers that I found funny. The questions with double asterisks next to them I have been just showing the classes as they are the less exciting/more difficult but still interesting questions. Also, the "Answers" document is the sheet I keep with me so I know what/which are the answers.

I am sorry that I am sharing this soooo late, it has been a busy month. I really wish I could spend some more time tidying this up and re-arranging the order. [My hands are together, my head is bowed a fraction] I am sorry!

Have a wonderful wonderful Christmas! You are all great people doing important work! I hope you have a safe and merry time over the winter vacation and slide safely into 2024! Peace off for now!
