  • Job Fair Janken

    Students carry around cards with various jobs on them and try to create a full set using Janken and, of course, English.

  • Hullabaloo

    Students touch target vocabulary cards that match categories the ALT calls out. The group standing on the exact card the ALT calls out is the winner of that round!

  • Hot Potato

    Students pass an object around while listening to music. When the music stops, the student holding the object says a target vocabulary.

  • Inside Outside Circles

    Students practice answering and asking questions while moving around in circles to music.

  • Land of the Blind

    Students work in pairs; one blindfolded while the other one issues directions. They must move around the room to avoid being caught by the Oni team.

    ALT reads a series of numbers and students must convert them to letters to figure out the secret word.

    Students compete against each other to name the flashcards and try to link their bees together.

  • Four Corners

    Inside various squares around the classroom are the 'target vocabulary' words. Students choose a square to stand in and listen to see if it's the English word the teacher calls out.

  • Flashcard Police

    An engaging strategy for practicing tedious memorization. As an alternative to the “read-and-repeat”, it works best with younger students but can be altered for older students.

  • Flashcard Baseball

    Review flashcards while playing baseball with your students.

  • Fiddle Sticks

    Students draw a stick from a cup and say the English word. The student with the most sticks at the end of the game/ end of the time limit is the winner.

  • Drawing Dash

    You show 'drawers' a secret flashcard. They draw it, and their team guesses. How many can they guess in one minute?

  • Bridge

    Students try to race across the Vocab Bridge to the opponent’s side. This game is also known as "Snake Line" or "Janken Line".
