Practices the names for parts of the body.

  • Guess Who

    Students use be verbs "am" and "are", nouns and adjectives.

  • 4 hint quiz

    A quiz giving easy hints to an animal that the students guess.

  • Save the Patient

    A short repetition activity to practice "Do I have to ~" and "Have to~." This activity might not work with classes larger than 25 students.

  • Touch Command

    Students play Janken and touch the body part listed on the card.

  • Make A Face

    Students connect numbers to the correct phrases and finally to the appropriate pictures.

  • Body Discovery

    A row race where students attempt to fill in as many body parts on a stick figure, within five minutes, as possible.

  • Balancing Act

    Students try to balance the object on their body part while practicing the corresponding vocabulary.

  • Dr Doctor

    Students play a doctor/patient game, naming the body part where they are hurt, and bandaging it with toilet paper. Works well with teaching about body parts and feelings.

  • Visiting A Doctor

    Students learn various doctor vocabulary and expressions by completing a crossword and creating a dialogue with their partner.

  • Doctor Dodgeball

    Students play Japanese dodgeball in a civil manner by destroying each other with polite words.

  • Body Builder

    Students learn how to recognize body parts by speaking and drawing the parts.

  • Twister

    Students try to twist their bodies/limbs into various pretzel shapes to correspond to the ALTs instructions.

  • Vocabulary Wars

    This is a vocabulary battle that can be used with any small set of vocabulary. It is great for younger classes, but can work with any grade.

  • Hullabaloo

    Students touch target vocabulary cards that match categories the ALT calls out. The group standing on the exact card the ALT calls out is the winner of that round!

  • Body Coloring

    Students color body parts of the giant and robot handouts according to the ALT's directions.

  • Portrait (Funny Drawing Activity)

    This activity can be used as a practice for "How many ~?" lesson. Students have a good laugh at their final outputs. Activity can be done by pair or small groups.
