Ordering Bubble Tea

a bubble tea menu that I made for 3nen students to practice placing an order and adding toppings.

This is a bubble tea menu that I made to accompany page 81 in the New Crown 3 textbook. I've pasted the link to the menu at the bottom.

In pairs, students take turns acting as the cashier or customer. After they're done, the ALT chooses pairs (or they can volunteer)to run through the skit in front of the class and then individuals can do it with the ALT acting as the cashier.

The script went something like this:

Cashier: Hello! What drink would you like?
Customer: Hello, can I have a (mango tea)?
Cashier:What size would you like?
Customer: A medium / large, please.
Cashier: Would you like any toppings?
Customer: (tapioca, mango jelly, and a little bit of red bean), please. / No, thank you.
Cashier: What sweetness level would you like?
Customer: (70%), please
Cashier: Anything else? / Is that all?
Customer: No, thank you. / That's all. / Yes, please. Can I also have....
Cashier: Thank you! Goodbye / Please come again!
Customer: Thank you! Goodbye / I will!

The JTE wrote the key pharse of the script on the blackboard so the students could reference it. The JTE also explained the meaning behind each phrase

Something that could be fun to mention is all the different names bubbles have since in Japan they call it tapioca (boba, pearls, tapioca, bubbles, etc). Also, popping bubbles aren't common in Japan so you could show them a picture of what it looks and explain how there's flavored juice inside.
