Your basic karuta game, but you can really stretch this out, to last the whole class even. The words are specific to the list of feelings/emotions in the back of New Crown 2 and 3. There is a worksheet with the words and pictures, so the students can first check the meaning of each word. I had the students first talk in pairs and determine words they didn't know. We then checked as a whole group. Next, the students practiced repeating the words. Finally, we played karuta. The students were in small groups of 4, but groups of 6 works well, too.
