Roulette Game

This is a flexible game to review lessons.

  1. Group the students with 3-4 members each group.
  2. Have them decide the order to take turns in answering.

RULES of the game:
1. Have a student from a group choose a question (Example: A3, D5, C1, etc.) ~ I usually let each group take their turns in selecting a question.
2. A student from each group raises a hand to answer.
3. The fastest could answer but in case many students raised their hands, you may do a janken with them.
4. If the answer is correct, they can play the roulette to determine their score.
5. Record the scores on the board.
6. Last few questions, I usually make them double or triple the points to make the game even more fun.

Additional instructions:
1. Click on the bulb to reveal a question.
2. Click or press next arrow to reveal the answer.
3. Click the thunder icon to return to the Questions slide. The bulb will automatically be gone.
4. Click on the roulette to start it and click again if you want to stop. ~ I usually have the student who answered correctly shouts START and STOP to play the roulette.

*Please check the font styles of each slide as I am not sure if the layout will be different or a bit off. Feel free to adjust to your preferences. Also, please let me know how did it go with your classes. Thank you and I hope this could be of help to you.

Looks great but the roulette wheel is unclickable for me. The thunder icon is clickable. The layouts are off but easy to adjust. Is the roulette wheel supposed to link slide 2?

Hello kusobaba, thank you for your comment. The roulette should work well probably in an updated version of Microsoft PowerPoint. Just in case, try to click on the roulette itself when in Slide Show mode.

It's a school laptop, not had any PowerPoint problems before. Doesn't work in Slideshow mode, I tried every slide. When not in slideshow mode if you hover over the thunder icon it shows a link to slide 3 but doing the same with the roulette wheel doesn't show any link - it seems to be just a regular image. I'll try downloading it again and if that doesn't work it must be this crappy laptop.

Tried it, still the same. Thanks anyway.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Yeah, probably software issue or the PC itself. I use macbook and works perfectly. My friend recently used this game with her classes too and worked well. Students really did well and enjoyed the game. Please feel free to modify to your preferences should you want to try it with your classes.

Yeah, the thunder icon is to return to the questions board (Slide 3). The small roulettes beside the ABCDE don't have a hyperlink. If you don't mind, would you please go to Slide 2 (the big roulette) and play slide show. Then, try clicking on the huge roulette to rotate it then click again to stop and reveal a score.
