I wanted to add to keep it region specific if possible. Most of my students haven't left kansai/kinki. Some have never been outside this prefecture. On the flipside, others are well traveled.

I recommend saying "If you've been to every prefecture, feel free to expand to other parts of Japan. If you haven't been outside ___ region or prefecture keep it local. In the rare event that student wants to use other countries, let them go for it!

It turned out to be very effective and I got a diverse amount of answers from the students!
