I found the students really struggled with the "I usually..." grammar point in Unit 2, so I devised this small talk and worksheet activity to help them out. It worked out pretty well in all of my schools.
First, do the small talk. The students can use the example pictures as an aid, but they can say anything. Demonstrate with the HRT first to help them understand. Get some volunteers. Let students who struggle with speaking try answering by pointing at a picture on the screen.
Give the students a worksheet. They will draw things they usually do on Saturday and Sunday, and then ask their friends "What do you usually do on Saturday? What do you usually do on Sunday?". This practices speaking, listening, and a little bit of writing.
